That's A Awful Lot of Cough Syrup Cartoon Bird T-Shirt - White

TAALOCS “That’s a Awful Lot of Cough Syrup” American High Street Tee in Light Gray.

Every color in this collection has done something. Red was the origin, the thing in its first container, before it became a quantity anyone measured. The deep tones were the interior acknowledgment, the private knowledge of what had been counted. Yellow was the announcement, in two versions — the one making the announcement and the light that made the announcement necessary. Light Blue was the morning after, the continuation that looked like a clear sky, the color that didn’t make things simpler but made them look like they were happening in better light. Every one of those colors had a position. Light Gray does not have a position. Light Gray is the color before positions are assigned — the color that exists in the moment before the observation has been made, before the sentence that became the brand name was available to be said, before the amount was the amount rather than just the thing in the room that nobody had looked at carefully enough yet to say what it was. This is not ignorance. Ignorance implies that the thing to be known is there and the person does not know it. Light Gray is earlier than ignorance — it is the condition of the moment before knowing becomes a category, before there is a thing to know or not know, before anyone in the room has looked up from whatever they were doing and focused their attention on the thing in the corner that will, when attended to, produce the observation. The smoke is light gray. Not the syrup, not the cup, not the sky the next morning — the smoke. The thing that the thing becomes when it leaves its container and disperses into the air and is present but not locatable, is there but not there in the way that things with edges and quantities are there. The smoke is what comes before the bottle and after the cup, the state of the thing when it is between forms, when it has left one container and has not yet arrived in another, when it is in the room but not in the room in a way that produces an observation about amount. TAALOCS’ job is to say the thing that is true. In Light Gray, the thing that is true is this: not everything has been looked at yet. Not every amount has been assessed. There are still rooms where the thing is in the air and nobody has said anything about how much of it there is, because nobody has looked, because it is light gray in there and the light is doing what the light does in light gray rooms, which is illuminate everything equally and therefore make nothing in particular visible as a quantity that requires comment. Wear this on the day you have not decided anything yet. Wear it on the day that is neither the announcement nor the morning after — the day that is simply a day, in light gray, before the thing that will eventually happen has happened yet. The brand name is still true. The amount has not changed. The color just does not know that yet. And that, for today, is fine.

Key Details

• 🏚️❔ Light Gray — the color before the observation, before positions are assigned:
  • Red: origin, had a position. Deep: admission, had a register. Yellow: announcement and illumination, had a volume and a direction. Light Blue: the morning after, had a resolution. Light Gray: has nothing to prove — the color before the observation has been made, before the sentence that became the brand name was available to be said
  • Not ignorance — ignorance implies the thing is there and the person doesn’t know it. Light Gray is earlier than ignorance: the condition before knowing becomes a category, before anyone has looked up from what they were doing to focus on the thing that will, when attended to, produce the observation
  • The most honest color in the collection: the one that does not know yet.
• 🏚️💨 The smoke — between forms, present but not locatable, there but not there as a quantity:
  • Not the syrup, not the cup, not the sky the next morning — the smoke: what the thing becomes when it leaves its container and disperses into air, present but not locatable, between forms, left one container and not yet arrived in another
  • Light gray light: illuminates everything equally and therefore makes nothing in particular visible as a quantity requiring comment — the room where the thing is in the air and nobody has said anything about how much, because nobody has looked
  • Wear this on the day you have not decided anything yet. The day that is neither the announcement nor the morning after. Simply a day, in light gray, before the thing that will eventually happen has happened yet.
• 🏚️✅ Still true, not yet known — the amount has not changed, the color just doesn’t know that yet:
  • TAALOCS’ job: to say the thing that is true. In Light Gray, the true thing is: not everything has been looked at yet, not every amount has been assessed, there are still rooms where the thing is in the air and nobody has commented on the quantity
  • The brand name is still true. The amount has not changed. The color just does not know that yet.
  • And that, for today, is fine.
